The sicilian adventure

Vos et ipsam civitatem benedicimus.

This is how you are greeted, once you have
passed the Messina street by ferry
and reached Messina.

Isole Eolie (Vulcano)

Vulcanello photographed from the top
of the vulcano.

A view from a hill next to Taormina.

Sicily is simply beautifull!

The famous greek theatre of Taormina.

The old greeks were clever in
integrating the scenery into the pieces.

And now we've arrived to my village:
Vizzini.

This church, San Giovanni Battista,
is the biggest of the 25 churches
of Vizzini.

Vizzini has an old history
and nowadays only 8000 citizens.

Monte Castello.

Vizzini is built on three hills.
This picture is taken from Monte Calvario.

La cunziria.

Place next to Vizzini mentioned
by Giovanni Verga, a well known italian
author of the 19th century.

Our house.

My sweet niece, Debora.

My little, nice nephew, Simone.

Well, the colosseum is not in Sicily,
but Rome is on the way to this island.
Just 8 hours by train, it's worth!

Have I finally persuaded you to make your trip to Sicily?
