Our trip starts in Zermatt, Vallis. We take the cablecar (Kleiner Matterhorn) to reach the Gandegghütte (3029 m) where we spend the first night in order to get acclimatized. The first four pictures here are taken from the cablecar.

Impressive crevasses!

View of the Breithorn (4159 m) from the Gadegghütte. Breithorn was the first peak of our tour which we summited the following day (Tuesday).
From left to right: Liskamm (4479 m), Castor (4223 m), Pollux (4092 m) and Breithorn (4159 m). Castor looks actually very little from this view squeezed between Liskamm and Pollux, but actually Castor is higher than Pollux. We summited Castor on Wednesday. Summiting Liskamm is a very difficult challenge, which we skipped this time, but we had plenty of peaks in our schedule.

Breithorn (4159 m) and Kleiner Matterhorn (3883 m) on the right. Kleiner Matterhorn is reached by a train which goes through a tunnel in the mountain. The end of the tunnel is on the other side of Kleiner Matterhorn which is not visible from this view. The next morning we took that train to reach Kleiner Matterhorn. From there we summited Breithorn. Can you imagine a train which takes you to just a few hundred meters below the summit of Mount Rainier?
The glacier on the left of Liskamm is called "Grenzgletscher". "Grenze" means in German border. Maybe it's called like that because it takes you over the border to Italy. At the end of our trip we came back to Switzerland by descending the Grenzgletscher. On the rocky side left of the Grenzgletscher there is the "Monte Rosa Hütte where we spent the last night from Friday to Saturday.
